Summary
This blog is a reflective space where I document my learning journey and share experiences about integrating technology into teaching and learning. As an aspiring educator in the 21st century, I believe that understanding and effectively using Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is essential for creating dynamic, inclusive, and student-centered classrooms. In this blog, I explore the diverse roles of ICT in education, focusing on how it can be leveraged as an informative tool – to expand access to knowledge, support research, and provide students with rich, multimedia-based learning content. A communicative tool – to enable collaboration, peer interaction, and meaningful teacher-student dialogue, both in and beyond the classroom. A constructive tool – to encourage active learning, critical thinking, creativity, and student agency through hands-on use of digital platforms and resources. Through my reflections, I examine real examples of ICT integration, including two assistive tools that I found particularly useful in enhancing teaching and learning. I also share a short video I created on the use of ICT as an informative tool, demonstrating how it can empower learners by making information more accessible and engaging. This blog not only serves as a personal portfolio of growth but also as a resource hub for fellow educators, student teachers, and anyone interested in digital pedagogy. My goal is to continue evolving as a tech-savvy teacher who is prepared to meet the challenges and opportunities of a digital classroom.Thank you for visiting, and I hope my reflections, resources, and examples will inspire and support your own journey in using ICT for effective teaching and learning. Happy reading and exploring!
